Dr. Shimu Liu was born and raised in Shanghai, China. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Smith College in Massachusetts, then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, she completed a one-year advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) program at UTHealth Houston. Since then, she has made Houston her home and has been proudly serving the local community.

Dr. Liu is dedicated to providing personalized dental care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. She values building trusting relationships and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their oral health journey.

Outside of the office, Dr. Liu enjoys traveling, watching movies, exploring new cuisines, and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
